* Can I remove the trim after installation?

* What are your trims made of?

* What is OEM?

Can I install the trim by myself?
From our experience you can install it yourself if you patiently and carefully follow the installation instructions. It is as easy as 1-2-3…

1. You simply have to clean your vehicle's dashboard.
2. Remove protected tape from the back of trim
3. Press the pieces onto your vehicle's dashboard.

All our dash kits have 3M adhesive foam tape backing.

How long does it take to install a kit?
The amount of time installation takes depends on the size of the kit; kits with more pieces take more time. For a first-time installer, expect to spend one to one-and-a-half hours on the installation. With a minimal amount of practice, installations will be completed in thirty minutes or less. Familiarize yourself with the installation instructions and assemble your materials prior to installation to save time.

What do I do if I damage a piece during installation?
If you damage a piece during installation, please request replacement part(s) from our customer service department. We need to know the model # and part #. Please take this information from the diagram comes with the trim. The piece will be remade for you at a nominal charge, and we will use your returned piece as a color match, so that your new piece will match your other installed pieces as best as possible. If you do not wish to send the damaged piece, please understand that if the piece that is made and sent to you does not match to your satisfaction in color or grain pattern, you will have to pay for any additional replacement pieces. Scott Auto Concepts is not responsible for color match for pieces, options or consoles that are purchased to augment an existing kit without a color match provided by the customer.

Can I remove the trim after installation?
Our car interior and exterior trims product are designed to be permanent. It can be removed but you will need to install another trim on top.

What are your trims made of?
Our trims are made from synthetic wood and carbon fiber. For coating we use ultra clear polyurethane.

What does OEM stand for?
OEM, stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer.

FEEDBACK

"The car show went great today...I took second place in my class but it's
a start! The floor mats look great and I just wanted to tell you 'Thanks' again. We told a couple new bird owners about your hard tonneau cover, I
gave them your website address and they said they would look it up and maybe give you a call to order."

Hard Top Lifts

Please click your question to see the answer;

Does the Brake Winch and Electric Motor come with the Support Cradle and Harness Assembly or do I have to purchase that separately?

Is this really a "one person" operation?
What is the guarantee?
Do you have to modify the Electrical in the garage?

1. Does the Brake Winch and Electric Motor come with the Support Cradle and Harness Assembly or do I have to purchase that separately?

A - The Brake Winch and Electric Motor all include Support Cradle and Harness Assembly as well as all necessary hardware and fasteners.

2. In your photo it would appear that the weather stripping is resting on the support cradle. Doesn't it become damaged over time?

A - The weather stripping is actually higher than the hard inner head liner. The contact points between the padded support cradle and the hardtop are with this hard inner head liner. Thus the weather stripping is not effected.

3. Can I leave my hardtop hanging in the hoist?

A - The hardtop is supported and balanced at three points in such a way that does not strain the structure, does not touch the paint and does not effect the weather stripping. You can cover your suspended hardtop and leave it up and out of harm's way for as long as you need to.

4. How high does my garage ceiling have to be?

A - Your ceiling can be as low as seven feet. It's generally a good idea to back your car into place for the removal and replacement procedure. This will accommodate a lower ceiling height and the hardtop will be over the hood of the car when you park normally so you wont bang your head getting in and out of the car. Also, the lifting cable will be far enough into the garage to prevent interference with the garage door. The greatest advantage is replacing the hardtop - you can lower the hardtop to just a few inches higher than it would be as it sat on the car. This will make it very easy to back your car under it for a perfect alignment and absolutely safe replacement.

5. Which lifting system do you recommend?

A - Both lifting systems are very safe and easy to use. Of course, the easier it is to raise and lower the hardtop the safer it's going to be. The electric lifting system has a little box which houses the control switch and is small enough to allow you to actually use both hands to help position the hardtop as it is lowered onto the car.

6. How difficult is the installation?

A - The installation is quick and easy. If you have a ladder, a 1/4' drill, a phillips screwdriver and a 9/16" socket you can install any of the systems and have the hardtop removed from you car in about 45 minutes.

7. Is this really a "one person" operation?

A - Yes, it's very simple to use.

8. Do you have to modify the Electrical in the garage?

A- No, it's a basic plug into the socket attachment!

9. What is the guarantee?

A - The guarantee is very simple: If at any time you're not completely satisfied with any Hard Top Lift products, you have 30 days to return in for a refund as long as it is in new condition.

Stainless Steel Trim Frequently Asked Questions

*Is it hard to install

*How does it attach?

*What is your guarantee?

Is it hard to install?
It is very easy to install and all the trims come with step-by-step installation instructions. You can very easily install the trim on a Saturday afternoon!

How does it attach?
The trim attaches very easily with a 3M adhesive backing.....just peel and stick....that's it. The 3M adhesive will last the life of your vehicle.

What is your guarantee?
If you receive the trim and feel you don't like the way it looks or do not want to install it for any reason, you have 365 days from when you received the trim to send it back to us for a refund unused.

FORD THUNDERBIRD AIR FILTER

Hello,
My question is about the cold air intake offered on your site. Does this replace the regular air filter? If so I would buy it just for the reason that I have not been able to change the air filter in my Tbird. It is really wedged in there & can't figure how to get cover off, will probably ask shop to do it.

Thanks, Arlene Koszyk

Answer

Hi Arlene,

There are two engine options with different air intakes on the Ford Thunderbird; the 2002 tbird engine and the 2003-05 tbird engine. They are a little different in the engine layout and engine performance and size.
There is a cold air intake for both year specifications 2002 and 2003-2005.
So, if you were to get the "cold air intake" system, make sure that you select the correct part that corresponds with your tbird's year.

The "cold air intake" replaces the whole "intake" system. This consists of the tube with air filter.

There is also just the "air filter" replacement; http://www.thunderbirdconcepts.com/kn-airfilter.htm . This will replace just the filter and not the whole cold air intake system. To replace the stock Ford Thunderbird air filter simply unlatch the top of the air filter box take out the old filter for disposal and replace with the new air filter.

I suggest the whole "cold air intake" system here; http://www.thunderbirdconcepts.com/trurev-cold_air_intake.htm It makes a difference in that it lets your engine "breathe" thus giving it more horsepower and performance.

This part comes with complete installation instructions.

I hope this helps!

Thank you,
Aaron Scott, ceo
