Thunderbird Roadster Hard Tonneau Installation
The removal and the installation of the Thunderbird Roadster Tonneau is very simple! Two uncomplicated steps are all that is required. First, slide the tops onto the convertible storage area, so that the under-hooks engage under the back quarter panel, then you simply lock it down! One, Two, and there you have it. Such ease, and there is absolutely no requisite of drilling or modification to the car.
TRUNK STORAGE
To store the tops in the trunk while traveling, you simply place them into the trunk (lock ends first), one on top of the other. You will also be pleasantly surprised to find that cargo space will remain for you and your passenger's hand bags!

The Roadster Tonneau was designed for easy installation without having to drill into your Thunderbird. There are three lock elements that work together for the secure attachment to your Thunderbird.
1) The rear "Under Hooks" slide under the rear
quarter panel to secure the back end of your Tonneau.
2) The split in the middle has a latch in the underside of the front section
of the Tonneau that holds the pieces together.
3) The front is securely locked down with a cam lock that hooks under
the pre-existing ragtop plastics.
